Mini-TANKERS sponsors Hardwick Youth Under 12 Football Team

Our refuelling company Mini-TANKERS, based at Redcar on Teesside, is proud to be sponsoring local football team Hardwick Youth Under 12.

There are three teams at the club, and 17 boys in the Youth Under 12 team. The players train at Stockton-on-Tees and compete in the Durham County FA League 7. They started the season off well with some early wins, are now comfortably holding their own in the middle of the table.

The club is run by volunteers and parents, who take the boys to home and away fixtures most weekends. They travel to take part in tournaments across the North East too. This is always a good experience, it helps build the boys’ football skills and confidence as players, and it’s a chance to meet people from other clubs too.

The season will end in June with the club’s traditional weekend away at the Flamingo Land resort and theme park in North Yorkshire, where they will play more football matches on the Saturday and Sunday mornings before hitting the rides and rollercoasters in the afternoons. The club is now fundraising to make this possible.

Now that the 2022 FIFA World Cup has reached its thrilling knockout stage – and England has beaten Senegal 3–0 to make it through to the Quarter finals against France on Saturday – there couldn’t be a better time to be supporting grassroots football.

Come on England! And good luck to all the boys of Hardwick Youth Under 12 for the rest of the 2022–23 season.
